Support for workshops and conferences
The aim is to give qualified support to workshops and conferences that explore, initiate or deepen collaborations between the faculties, disciplines and departments at the Domain of Humanities and Social Sciences at Uppsala University. Participants and co-applicants from the other domains are also welcome within the scope of the support.
The support entails qualified administrative support from CIRCUS’ office to develop, plan and execute the workshop or conference. In addition, CIRCUS can fund for example venues, meals, and travel arrangements for incoming guests.
The main applicant should be an active researcher at the Domain of Humanities and Social Sciences at Uppsala University. As a rule, the event should involve a couple more researchers from the above domain. In addition, we welcome researchers from the other scientific domains as participants and co-applicants.
You can send in your application for support all year round. We do need your application at least 6 months before the scheduled event.
The application should contain:
- A description of the purpose and aim of the event with a list of planned participants. We also require a tentative time schedule for how you will plan the event.
- A budget with an estimation of costs (contact us if you wish for some points regarding the budget).
- A brief CV (max 1 page) for the main applicant.
